PSDs are pre-cut images. Opened in Adobe Photoshop or Corel PhotoPaint/Draw, they have 'transparent' backgrounds, so that they can be placed over other pictures and designs, etc. The ones posted above have been exported as JPEGs, however, so they obviously won't work in that sense.
